Tues Mornings - Yoga Foundations @ Wild Rose Thurs Mornings - Yoga Explorations @ Wild Rose 10:00-11:45 AM
Yoga with Gernot Huber Gernot has been studying and practicing yoga since 1996. His teaching emphasizes alignment and breath in a practice that cultivates joy and encourages playful exploration.
His instruction focuses on increasing your awareness and serenity and encourages you to engage your edge mindfully and safely, empowering you to develop and refine your own personal practice. Gernot combines the best practices from a number of yoga traditions, including Anusara, Iyengar, Kripalu, and Vinyasa Flow, for an integrative experience that balances precision with creativity, introspection with bliss. All of Gernot's classes in a given week explore a common theme. The classes build on each other, so that classes earlier in the week can serve as preparation for more playful or more exploratory classes later in the week. Gernot teaches two types of regular drop-in classes: Yoga Foundations ( Tues Mornings) These classes focus on alignment and pranayama, and on increasing awareness and equanimity in your yoga practice. They are more reflective, and are great for beginning students and students looking for a less athletic practice. However, the detailed alignment instructions and the focus on increasing awareness and serenity are equally beneficial to more advanced students. Yoga Explorations ( Thurs. Mornings) Primarily aimed at students who have practiced yoga for a while and who want to take their practice to the next level. Each class builds gradually towards a relatively advanced crown pose, providing students with a safe opportunity to playfully and mindfully explore new territory, and to re-access beginner's mind in their practice. Multiple variations of advanced poses are always provided so that these classes are also appropriate for beginning yoga students who are physically active.
